DESCRIPTION:Imagine this situation: You offer some valuable, in your eyes, feedback. You stand there “openhearted” and share about feelings and needs and even add observations and a request. You really do the NVC thing here. And still – the conversation just goes ot shit. The connection you have been waiting for is not flourishing, on the contrary, you find yourselves screaming at each other and feeling equally heard for not beeing seen, valued in this moment, taken seriously, met empathically… there are many options.\nI know this situation very well and replayed it again and again. Not that I wanted this. I just didn’t know how else to do it and already thought that the world is just not ready for feedback. Because – hey, I am doing my best here and even with NVC it doesn’t work.\nA sad belief, given that we as humans need feedback so desperately from our peer human beings in order to find ways to contribute to each other’s lives.\nI am happy to say – I found a different way.
