SUMMARY:Brit Magnell and Ida Rump – Dialogue in the face of radical disagreement
DESCRIPTION:When we hear statements that leave us shocked or furious, we easily lose our sense of openness and curiosity. We lose self-connection as well as connection to the other. In this workshop, we’ll practice restoring connection in order to bridge polarisation.\nThis workshop is inspired by the work of the film maker Deeyah Khan.\nThe workshop is for participants with some NVC experience, as we don’t cover the basic theory.\n[Workshop organised in the frame of Time for Empathy 2023]\n\nWhen: 8 March 2023, 11:30-13:00 CET (Berlin time)\nHow: ONLINE on ZOOM\nRecording:\nMost of the workshops during “Time for Empathy” are not recorded, so the only possibility to take part in it is to join the session. I have always had a special interest in what creates connection in relationship. I work for understanding and respect between us. Therefore, I was inspired by what I saw and heard from the film “White Right” by Deeyah Khan.\n \n \nIda Rump\nIt’s been challenging for me to connect to and feel close to other people. For me, NVC has been an essential help in this area for 20 years. Even in the face of radical disagreement, I’m seeing possibilities for connection that seemed impossible earlier on.\nThis is why we’re giving this workshop together.
