Contributing to achieving the SDGs through NVC – Ondine Delavelle
Are you sometimes hopeless about the state of the world? You feel small and powerless? Do you doubt your commitment to NVC will not change the path of the world? Well, without this commitment, no change at all will occur, since the way we solve the problem is the problem.
In this workshop, we will reflect on how we feel about the state of the world, particularly in terms of the sustainable development goals (SGDs). I will then give a short introduction to the inner dimension of sustainability work: the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), before diving into experiencing a few exercises to practice different dimensions of the IDGs are related to NVC.

Contributing to Achieving the SDGs through NVC
Are you sometimes feeling hopeless about the state of the world? Do you feel small and powerless? Do you doubt whether your commitment to Nonviolent Communication (NVC) can truly change the world’s trajectory? Remember, without this commitment, no change will occur at all: The way we are solving problems is the problem.
In this workshop, we will:
-
Reflect on our feelings about the current state of the world, particularly in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
-
Explore the inner dimension of sustainability work through an introduction to the Inner Development Goals (IDGs).
-
Experience practical exercises that demonstrate how different dimensions of the IDGs relate to NVC.
This interactive session will help you understand how NVC can function both as a communication framework and a mindset, enhancing skills crucial for conflict resolution and fostering cooperation. You’ll discover how NVC can boost important qualities such as integrity, authenticity, self-awareness, connectedness, humility, empathy, and compassion – all of which are vital for sustainable growth and development.
