Journaling for Self-empathy

Journaling for Self-empathy

How can we create a quality of connection with ourselves through journaling, and a deep level of trust and growth in virtual community, even with strangers?
Learn how to start a journaling practice where accompaniment gives members opportunities to experience and offer acceptance through their empathic presence.
We, four CNVC certification candidates, will share our journaling journey, offering our practice structure, the basic self-exploration tools we have developed to pause and unpack our self-judgments, and our experience of personal transformation.  You will have the opportunity to practice journaling in this session.
Regardless of our level of experience with NVC, we can all grow through journaling.  Everyone is welcome.

About the trainers:
Journaling for Self-empathyElke Haggerty, Lynn McLaughlin, Tricia Martin, and Violaine Felten are CNVC certification candidates. They have been journaling weekly, in community with others, since June 2018.
Elke (based in Canada) has studied communication in various capacities from facilitation to mediation and interest-based negotiation. She fell in love with NVC as a way to enrich her parenting and now works towards community transformation.
Lynn (based in USA) discovered NVC to be the single most powerful spiritual and practical practice she has witnessed or experienced.  NVC continues to play a critical role in all aspects of her life and business in the hospitality/events industry. Lynn hopes to bring NVC practice to others who value collaboration, inclusion, and equity.
NVC has been pivotal in Tricia’s life (in the USA), allowing her entire worldview to fall into place, joining together her lifelong interests in conservation, culture, self-discovery, and mindfulness.  NVC has become a container for her passions, providing the insight, intention, and clarity to both make sense of the world, as well as to be a positive change agent within it.
Violaine discovered NVC when searching for a different way to parent and immediately reconnected to hope and a sense of personal agency.  She shares it in Spanish in Bolivia and online. She enjoys witnessing others reconnect with their natural compassion and personal power through the practice of NVC and dreams of creating a better world together.
