The Needs Limbo: How deep can you listen? – Hugo A. Roele
You have probably already experienced what happens when you find one of these wonderful words we use for needs. Remember that deep sigh, the relaxation of your shoulders and the thought that this is what really wanted to be found and heard. You’ve passed a limbo bar and it felt great. You felt heard. The needs limbo shows that the feeling of being heard can be deepened with several notches with just a few questions.
In 2012 I made the first version of the Deck of Needs. Since that time the impact of this tool keeps surprising me. The update of 2019 uses my insights and has deepened the level of listening even more. This workshop is based on several of these insights. Together we will explore the following questions:
– How much time do you take to see, hear and feel your need?
– In which fields is your need sufficiently fulfilled and in which fields not enough?
– How would it feel when your need is totally unfulfilled and totally fulfilled?
– Which other needs want to be found and heard?
– The fulfilment of which needs seem to be endangered when you try to fulfil the need you found?
I wish to work with needs that are alive with the participants during the workshop. With interactive exercises, we will try to make you experience how to go deeper when you listen to yourself and others. I’ve seen that reaching that level is great. Will that be your experience too?
With a Demo of the Deck of Needs, you can already experience some of the things we will be talking about. Feel free to have a peek.
