In this monthly series, we are inviting everyone present to ask anything they want about Nonviolent Communication. Truly anything. It could be basic questions about why we focus on feelings and needs. And it could be complex questions about why empathy sometimes doesn’t work for people. It could be questions about how to teach people about whether NVC is political. In each session, we plan to focus on questions on specific themes.
First session: NVC Assumptions and Intentions 19th November 2025, Wednesday, 19:00-20:30 CET (Check your local time here)
We are planning further sessions with these themes:
1. Why “Observation – Feeling – Need – Request” (OFNR)? 2. Empathy (every March within Time for Empathy) 3. Using NVC for inner connection 4. Dialogue 5. NVC for social change 6. Naturalizing NVC 7. NVC and liberation 8. Is NVC political or not? 9. NVC and the body 10. Living, applying, and teaching NVC 11. NVC across power differences
About NGL – the organiser
The purpose of the Nonviolent Global Liberation (NGL) Community is “to integrate nonviolence into the fabric of human life through ongoing live experiments with truth focused on individual and collective liberation.” Our central inquiry explores how to liberate ourselves individually and collectively from patriarchal conditioning and rediscover what it takes for humanity to realign with life. See https://nglcommunity.org/ for more information.
Miki Kashtan and other NGL members on the path towards CNVC certification will share about NVC from an NGL perspective. Miki will answer questions, facilitate the process of other people answering questions, and offer coaching on how to bring NVC to others – such as how you choose which bits to focus on, how much depth to go into and how much to potentially be with the person asking before answering.

This training is offered as a gift to everyone who joins any of these calls. We (NGL) never charge for anything we offer. In order to sustain our capacity to do our work and continue to offer what is ours to do in the future, we depend completely on financial gifts given to us freely. To care for the material needs of the more than thirty people who gift their energy and do all it takes for NGL to function, we ask that you give the maximum amount you can give without overstretching or resentment. We fully accept and take pleasure in knowing that many people do not have the means to give us gifts, and we trust that others will give us enough to make it possible for us to keep the NGL project going. We ask that you consider this request again, each time as you join one of these events.
