Dare to be vulnerable – Julia Shen

Dare to be vulnerable – Julia Shen

Sometimes we speak from a place of good intention, hoping to be understood and connect, yet the conversation doesn’t flow the way we hope. This workshop invites you to dare to be vulnerable, exploring what matters most to you and how sharing it with an open heart can increase the possibility of connection.
Many of us associate strength with approaching life in a tough or forceful way, both physically and in how we act. At the same time, beneath any strong exterior, our deep feelings, longings, fears, and hopes often remain unspoken. When we dare to genuinely express what feels tender and true within us, a different kind of strength becomes visible, one that carries authenticity, depth, and presence, and opens the door to more possibilities.
Whether you are new to Nonviolent Communication (NVC) or have been practicing NVC for some time, we will inquire into what becomes possible when we move beyond habitual or mechanical ways of communicating and reconnect with our present experience.
Through reflection, real-life examples, and guided practice, you will experience how communication shifts when it arises from your own lived experience, allowing conversations to move beyond reactive, polite, guarded, or formulaic expression toward a way of being with one another that holds both honesty and care, even when asking for space or saying No.
