Words That Change Worlds: Can NVC Play a Role in Sustainable Development? – Ondine Delavelle

Are you sometimes feeling hopeless about the state of the world? Do you feel small and powerless? Do you doubt whether your commitment to Nonviolent Communication (NVC) can truly change the world’s trajectory? Remember, without this commitment, no change will occur at all: The way we are solving problems is the problem.
In this workshop, we will:
  • – Reflect on our feelings about the current state of the world, particularly in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • – Explore the inner dimension of sustainability work through an introduction to the Inner Development Goals (IDGs).
  • – Experience practical exercises that demonstrate how different dimensions of the IDGs relate to NVC.
In this interactive session, you’ll discover how NVC, by fostering important qualities such as integrity, authenticity, self-awareness, connectedness, humility, empathy, and compassion, is also a key element for sustainable growth and development.

About the trainer:
Ondine DelavelleOndine Delavelle
“French living in Vienna, I discovered NVC about 10 years ago which made place for more gratitude in my life, as well as the awareness of more choices: whether I interpret bad intentions in others’ actions, or I seek to understand them and find a common path. It has also impacted my way of being a mother – even if the current teenager phase is quite a roller-coaster! I attended several introduction and deepening trainings, a mentoring program and an international intensive training in Birmingham, took part in two Erasmus Plus projects and also have been trained as Needs-based coach and recently completed the Inner Development Goals (IDG) Ambassador Programm.”
