Supporting others with 1:1 conversations. From empathy to empowerment – Ondine Delavelle

Do you love offering empathy, yet sometimes feel tired of hearing the same stories again and again – without much change? In this workshop, you will learn how to combine deep empathic presence with simple coaching skills, so that people reconnect with themselves and become empowered to create sustainable change in their lives.
This workshop is for people who already have some experience with NVC or empathic listening and who are often the “go‑to person” for others: friends, colleagues, clients or community members.
It is especially suited for those who want to support others more intentionally over time – without burning out, giving advice or taking over responsibility.
Why coaching skills – and not “just” empathy?
Empathic listening offers relief, connection and the precious experience of being seen – and yet, at some point many of us sense a longing for more movement and transformation. Need-based coaching builds directly on NVC: it keeps the focus on feelings and neds, while adding a clear structure and empowering questions that invite clarity, responsibility and next steps. Compared to “only” listening, this approach helps others move from emotional discharge to concrete, self-connected action in their own lives.
What you will learn
In this workshop, based on the Need-Based Coaching approach, you will:
  • learn a simple structure for 1:1 support conversations – from starting, to deepening, to closing
  • practice how to stay empathic while gently inviting focus, choice and agency
  • experiment with coaching questions that reconnect people with their needs, values and resources
We will work with short inputs, live demo and practice in pair. You bring your real-life situations, and we translate them into concrete conversation steps you can start using right after the workshop.
