Honouring life’s intensity – Julia Wight

This workshop will focus on the feeling of rage, and the intensity it brings. Bringing understanding how anger is an important source of energy and essential in bringing our sense of justice to life. Our sense of what is “right” and “wrong”, which can come with a charge and an intensity – often, and tragically, expressed as judgements or criticisms.
Through an NVC lens, we will look at bringing empathy to ourselves by remembering a fundamental premise that “all that we do or say is an attempt to meet needs”. Including moments when we feel angry and our bodies and minds are charged with a sense of urgency and importance for our needs.
Through this experiential workshop, participants will learn how to stay connected to what is alive in moments of intensity. The workshop will look at how to welcome ourselves and our needs by connecting to the charge, and honouring it.
Objectives of the workshop are to better understand:
– How to identify moments of anger and rage
– How to connect to the charge and force of our emotions
– How to move towards our needs
This workshop is for participants of all levels, who are curious about building stronger and safe personal and relational spaces – to learn more about rehumanizing ourselves in times of intensity.

About the trainer:
Julia WightFor 12 years, Julia worked in international organizations where she has had the privilege of developing and implementing programs in communities in over ten countries, including Chad, Zimbabwe, Malaysia and Afghanistan; bringing extensive experience in team management and community impact evaluation. Julia has a strong interest and experience in team development and cohesion, communication, alignment with organizational mission and values, as well as support in professional development.
In 2016, after a lengthy burnout, Julia decided that her life needed to be different and more balanced in her vocation and contribution in this world.
Julia left the humanitarian field and started seeing a new path towards coaching and teaching, and NVC was right there to support her as she participated in her first NVC workshop in 2017 and was immediately hooked.
An avid and eager learner, Julia went straight for all she could absorb in the NVC community and just kept going, being certified in 2023. She is also a Resonant Language Healing Practitioner (with Sarah Peyton) since 2023, opening her up to the neurobiological interpersonal relationships, based on deep connection, welcome, and self-healing.
Julia integrates her personal and spiritual development in her role as a certified trainer and resonant practitioner, in empathic listening and accompaniment.
Her great curiosity, her sensitivity and her compassion towards what motivates humans leads her to focus on supporting individuals and leaders; people who want to improve their relationships, deepen their knowledge of themselves, be freer, and feel more connected to their inherent vitality.
