NVC Meets Authentic Relating – Katrina Vaillancourt

What happens when the clarity and compassion of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) meets the aliveness and immediacy of Authentic Relating?

In this highly experiential 90-minute workshop, participants will explore the natural overlap between these two powerful modalities and discover how NVC-informed Authentic Relating dialogues can make everyday connection feel more human, easeful, and real.

Through guided practices and partner exchanges, we’ll focus on cultivating open-hearted presence, engaging with childlike curiosity, and strengthening reflective listening skills. Participants will also be introduced to a simple, accessible “street giraffe” approach to empathy—supporting both self-connection and attuned listening with others without needing to sound scripted or formal.
