Practice groups - keeping them alive and kicking

Practice groups – keeping them alive and kicking

Have a hands-on experience on the dynamics of an NVC practice group meeting. As you participate as an observer or as an active volunteer, you will learn about the underlying values and principles that have inspired the meeting format.
We have attended the same practice group for a long while in Argentina, and have experienced ourselves the unshared feelings and unmet needs that might hinder the growth or even the survival of an NVC group. Come to our session and explore with us, Nanne, María Marta and other participants, the connection strategies that we hope will help you create or join a growing and supportive NVC group.
This workshop is intended for people who want to start practicing NVC – empathic communication. No previous knowledge is necessary but very welcome.
We also invite people who want to start practice groups and/or people who are in practice groups and want to share and learn.

About the trainers:
Maria Marta SuarezMaria Marta Suarez
I am a licentiate in English language and Applied Linguistics, and I have shared the principles of NVC at schools and language academies since I encountered NVC back in 1996. Since then, I have been supporting teachers, parents and students to transform the educational paradigm of right and wrong into one based on feedback. I developed ALL Method® – a holistic methodology to teach English and Spanish.
I studied NVC with Marshall Rosenberg himself, and I have also trained with some of his disciples like Robert Gonzales, Selene Aitken, Arnina Kashtan, Miki Kashtan and Alan Said. I have studied Empathic Coaching with Francois Beausoleil and have participated in a few IITs (Intensive International Trainings) in Latin America.
I have been an interpreter for Dominique Barter and Marshall Rosenberg and for different trainers in the last bilingual VIT (Virtual Intensive Training).
I have facilitated NVC workshops and practice groups in Argentina, Uruguay, Brasil, Spain and Perú in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Today, I live in an intentional community near Buenos Aires where NVC living and practice is part of my everyday interactions.

Nanne LotzkatNanne Lotzkat
I am a freelance trainer and consultant accompanying people, groups and organizations to find better results, specializing in strategic questions and communication processes in organizations and businesses, working with different moderation techniques.
Learning and teaching are important for me. Since leaving University as Economist (University of Hamburg), I have continued to train, perfect and broaden my experiences to get the best results in groups. I am an active participant in peer groups on Nonviolent Communication and Systemic Constellations and am sustaining transformative change projects based on U-theory (www.presencing.org).
I work in English, Spanish and my native language German.
I started my NVC learning in 1999 by different trainers, including the founder Marshall Rosenberg (who was the first to say: “This is how NVC works… but sometimes you choose not to use it”). So it is a powerful option that has helped me getting through difficult situations workwise and in my personal life. But mostly it leaves me with a very open heart and mind to approach challenges.
