Listening to the Body: An Embodied Way to Understand Feelings – Lucy Ascham

Do you ever struggle to name what you’re feeling? What if, instead of searching for the “right” word, you could listen to your body the tightness, warmth, flutter, heaviness, or expansion and let those sensations guide you?
In this gentle 90‑minute online session, we’ll explore how your body’s whispers can reveal your emotional truth, and how this clarity can deepen connection with another person. Rather than “giving” empathy as a one‑way act, we’ll practice being in empathy together a shared field of curiosity and presence.
You’ll get to: • Listen to your body’s subtle signals • Use sensation as a doorway into connection • Offer simple, body‑based guesses • Honour another person as a full, sovereign human being while staying rooted in yourself
This session is experiential, spacious and suitable for anyone curious about somatic awareness, NVC and Resonance.
